RankBuddy ("RankBuddy", "we", "us") provides an AI-assisted tool that generates SEO listing content (title, tags, description and a suggested price) and competitor research from a product photo or an existing listing you provide, for marketplaces including Etsy, Amazon, eBay, Shopify and Walmart. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use rankbuddy.online, why, and for how long.

1. What we collect

If you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile image from your Google account to create your RankBuddy account. If you register with email and password instead, we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed password, and send a verification link to that email before the account can be used — this confirms the address is real and reachable. If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email, and message you provide. We also record token usage and, for anonymous (not signed-in) use, your IP address, solely to enforce daily free-usage limits and prevent abuse.

2. Product images

Product images you upload are sent directly to our AI provider for analysis and are not stored on our servers at any point. They exist only for the duration of generating your result.

3. Generated listing data

If you are not signed in, your generated results are never stored anywhere — they exist only in your browser and are lost if you navigate away without copying them. If you are signed in, results are stored for 24 hours on the free plan, or 7, 15 or 30 days on a paid subscription (Basic, Standard and Premium respectively), then automatically and permanently deleted. If you cancel a subscription, the 24-hour retention window applies immediately. On the Standard and Premium plans you can turn on a public share link for a saved listing; anyone with that link can view that listing until you turn the link off or the listing expires.

4. Payment data

Payments are processed by Paddle.com as our merchant of record. We do not store your card details — Paddle handles all payment information under its own privacy and security practices. We store only what's necessary to manage your subscription: your plan, billing status, current billing period, and Paddle's own customer and subscription identifiers.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use a signed session cookie to keep you logged in, and browser local storage for non-essential conveniences like remembering a UI preference. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Third parties we use

Google (sign-in), our AI generation provider, Serper and DataForSEO (competitor research), Paddle (payments), and Resend (transactional email for account verification and the contact form). Each processes only the data necessary to perform its function for us, and none are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

7. Data retention

Account details (name, email) are kept for as long as your account exists. Generated listings follow the retention windows in section 3. If you delete your account, your account record and any remaining saved listings are permanently removed; billing records required by Paddle for tax and accounting purposes are retained by Paddle under its own policy.

8. Children's privacy

RankBuddy is intended for business use by sellers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

9. Your rights

You can delete any saved listing at any time from your My Listings page, or request full account deletion or a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting support@rankbuddy.online.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of RankBuddy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
