How does it check print quality?
It measures each image or page's pixel dimensions and calculates the effective DPI at the print size, so you know whether a printable will print sharp (300 DPI is the usual target).
Does it guess problems?
No. Every issue is tied to evidence from the file — a measured size, a quoted line, a page number. If something can't be checked from the file, the report says that clearly.
